Abstract
Mental disorders are one of the most serious challenges in the health sector, which requires an effective approach for prevention, early recognition and proper management. In the process of running, mental disorders cannot be seen directly, so many individuals are not aware of changes in their mental well-being. Limited access to mental health services is allegedly a serious obstacle, where distance, cost and social stigma also affect individuals to get help from professionals. Depression is one of the most common mental disorders affecting around 5% of the adult population in Indonesia, so the need for a system that is able to monitor effectively is very important. This system can present a solution in early detection of mental disorders through data collection sourced from questionnaires and other health information. The implementation of the Certainty Factor Method serves as a method of measuring the level of confidence or certainty of the state of symptoms related to mental disorders, while Forward Chaining is used to generate diagnoses and recommendations for action based on existing information. This system accommodates data from various sources, such as questionnaires, user activity on digital platforms, and other health information, and is able to make a significant contribution to the development of technological solutions to support the detection and proactive management of mental disorders. This research is also complemented by literature studies as a theory in reducing or solving a problem, Unified Modelling Language (UML) to design and design a software process.
