Abstract

The existence of information and communication technology infrastructure will be a driver of economic and social growth in Indonesia. ISP (internet Service Provider) or Internet service provider. Currently the internet has become a primary need, the internet makes it possible to find information quickly, communicate with people all over the world, manage finances, even in educational institutions such as middle schools, vocational schools and others. Mikrotik is a software-based technology that has a Linux Operating System and is used as a network router. This Operating System can provide smooth computer network administration activities. Apart from Mikrotik, there is something called Mikrotik Hotspot Monitor (Mikhmon), a Routerboard device management application, such as MikroTik, so that it can be controlled from the same network or from a different internet connection. The Bhakti Pertiwi Vocational School educational institution is located at Kp. Bangbayar Rt.01/03, has around 38 teaching staff and around 300 students. Currently Bhakti Pertiwi Vocational School has an internet network in the form of a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) using an internet connection from an Orbit Modem and is limited to access by all teaching staff, staff staff and students. This research aims to create a Mikrotik hotspot network to connect to the internet with a login system and create a user management system on the hotspot so that network administrators can control and monitor users and network security can be covered. Development of the Mikrotik hotspot network, WLAN Network System Using Mikrotik and Mikhmon, from the results obtained we can anticipate the use of Badwicth evenly with 20 users who are given a badwicth 6/MBps producing 4- 5MBps from each user with control for 5 minutes at a time.
