Abstract
This research aims to design and implement the A* algorithm in a 3D Third Person Shooter (TPS) Game with a historical theme, titled "Garuda's Valor". The focus is on optimizing character navigation, enhancing movement responsiveness, and providing an immersive Gameplay experience. The research method involves designing an A* algorithm tailored to the Game's characteristics, with trials on responsiveness, impact on Game appeal, and user satisfaction. In addition to improving navigation, the research also seeks to integrate historical elements from the Bojong Kokosan battle to create an educational experience. Challenges and solutions in implementation will be identified, such as handling complex terrain and dynamic obstacles that are typical in historical battlefields. By addressing these challenges, the Game aims to provide a realistic and engaging environment for pemains.
