Abstract
Damage to the coal crusher bearing due to excessive heat can cause disruption to the operational process of the equipment. This is due to a lack of easily accessible monitoring. This research aims to develop a temperature monitoring system for coal crusher bearings using MLX90614 and ESP 32 sensors with the Mamdani fuzzy logic method. There are 9 fuzzy rules in this system which can provide recommendations such as safety, lubrication, or stop operation. The temperature of this system will be displayed on a 0.96” OLED and will be recorded via Google Spreadsheet. This system is equipped with a notification feature via the Telegram application if the results exceed a predetermined limit. In this research, a comparison of the results of the design tool and the thermogun was carried out with a difference of less than 0.5. This design tool has a stable voltage of 3.3V, while the current in this design tool has a range of 0.11 – 0.13 A, so this can cause temperature differences between the design tool and the thermogun. Based on data from 30 tests obtained from this programming, it was then compared with the MATLAB calculation value, with an average error value of 0.62%. However, in the criteria results there is no difference in the data produced, so this system produces a percentage of 100%. The distance tests carried out produced an average error percentage at a distance of 5 cm = 0.21%, 10 cm = 0.22%, and 15 cm = 0.28%, from these results the smallest average error percentage was at a distance of 5 cm, namely 0.21%, so it can be concluded that the optimal and precise placement distance is at a distance of 5 cm from the object being measured. so that coal crusher bearing temperature monitoring can be carried out effectively.
