Abstract
The stability of the power output from the generator at PLTU Pelabuhan Ratu is of paramount importance to ensure the reliability and operational efficiency of the power plant. This stability is frequently challenged by load fluctuations and
system disturbances that can significantly impact the generator's performance. This study seeks to evaluate the impact of implementing a Power System Stabilizer (PSS)
on the Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) on the active power stability of the generator at PLTU Pelabuhan Ratu. Field experiments were conducted to gather data on active power stability both before and after the PSS implementation, with a particular focus on analyzing the differences in system performance under various operational conditions. By carefully analyzing these variations, the research aims to offer insights into how PSS can effectively stabilize the active
power output and contribute to more reliable and efficient operations at PLTU Pelabuhan Ratu. The results are expected to significantly contribute to improving the operational resilience of power generation facilities by providing a robust
solution to maintain active power stability.
