Abstract
This research evaluates a hybrid energy system that combines solar power (Solar PV) and wind in the Palabuhan Ratu PLTU Administration Building using the HOMER Pro application. The aim is to assess the performance and efficiency of hybrid systems in meeting building energy needs, taking into account solar and wind energy potential, energy consumption, as well as investment and operational costs. The results show that this hybrid system can provide reliable and efficient energy, and reduce dependence on conventional energy. Various configurations and optimizations are analyzed to find the most economical and sustainable solution. The planned system optimization can be achieved by utilizing HOMER Pro Software as a simulator. The Palabuhan Ratu PLTU Administration Building is intended to accommodate PV modules which have an array area of 70.04 m². The findings of the best PLTS design for a hybrid system with a capacity of 58.6 kWp and 3200 watts produce electrical energy of 142,973 kWh annually from a wind speed of 3.3 m/s and average local solar radiation of 3.98 kWh/m²/day. This combination of systems has an economic value of IDR 974,444,600 based on Net Present Cost (NPC), and Cost of Energy (COE) of IDR 477.81/kWh, and this system can contribute to the PLN electricity network of 46,615 kWh/year. It is hoped that this research will become a reference in implementing hybrid energy systems in other buildings, to support energy savings and reduce carbon emissions.
