Abstract

Game Development has become a dynamic and competitive industry in recent years, with more local studios emerging in Indonesia. However, research related to this industry is still limited, particularly in project management, which differs from other software development. Effective project management in Game Development, focusing on scope, time, and cost, is crucial for project success. This study aims to make Game Development project management more efficient, effective, flexible, and successful. The research uses a general Scrum Framework to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of Game Development project management, with a case study on creating the game "Rush Runner." The results show that Scrum significantly improves quality, cost efficiency, and responsiveness to changes while providing substantial flexibility in scheduling and resource allocation. Scrum enables project teams to quickly respond to feedback, resulting in a product that better meets market needs and reduces development costs. Future game developers are recommended to consider Scrum as an effective approach to better manage Game Development projects.
