Abstract

This research aims to: (1) find out the influence of permissive parental parenting on the learning of fifth grade elementary school students, (2) determine the influence of permissive parental parenting on the learning independence of fifth grade elementary school students. This research uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto correlational method using simple regression hypothesis testing. The sample for this research was class V students, class V teachers, and class V parents from two elementary schools in the Bojong Lopang cluster. The data analysis methods used in this research are validity test, reliability test, normality test, linearity test and hypothesis test. The results of the research show that the influence of parents' permissive parenting style on students' learning independence is 29.5%. Factors that have influence from within oneself, such as talent, intellectual potential and the potential for body growth, 2. External factors, namely all circumstances or influences that originate from outside oneself, or also commonly known as environmental factors, the living environment faced by the individual will influences personality development, both in negative and positive aspects. It can be concluded that there is an influence between the passive parenting style on the learning independence of fifth grade elementary school students.
