Abstract

The results of the 2018 PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) international survey placed Indonesia at 74th place for literacy tests, 73rd for mathematics, and 71st for science. This study aims to determine the effect of linguistic intelligence on students' public speaking skills from the aspect of humanist psychology at the elementary school level, with samples and research populations at SD Negeri 1 Cisaat. The approach to this research is quantitative research in which data obtained from the research population sample are analyzed according to the statistical methods used and then interpreted. The design model used is ex post facto, with analysis tests including normality tests (0.408), linearity tests (0.674), heteroscedasticity tests (scatterplot distribution), autocorrelation tests (4.03470), multicorrelation tests (0.504), and valid hypothesis tests using summary model tables and anova. Based on the results of the analysis of the influence of linguistic intelligence-based learning on students' public speaking skills, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the ex post facto research design model reviewed from the aspect of humanist psychology on the public speaking skills of grade IV students of SD Negeri 1 Cisaat. Thus, there is an influence and relationship between linguistic intelligence and children's public speaking skills. Therefore, the researcher suggests several ideas for better future research, namely: schools, teachers, and students.
