Abstract
The formulation of the research problem is how the social emotional development of students in traditional games and modern games. The purpose of this study was to describe the differences in social emotional development of elementary school students in traditional games and modern games. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that there are significant differences between traditional games and modern games. Traditional games have a more positive impact, especially on children's social-emotional skills such as the ability to coordinate thoughts, feelings and behavior to initiate and maintain interactions with the social environment effectively compared to modern games.
