Abstract

This research is based on the importance of preserving Sundanese culture which is the self-identity of a tribe. Judging from the rapid development of the times as well as the influence of globalization currents, the existing culture is increasingly forgotten, especially among the younger generation. One example of traditional clothing, its existence is starting to be less in demand. Therefore, we as Sundanese have become a must to preserve and understand the existing Sundanese cultures. Of course, there needs to be a sufficient process for the preservation of this culture. Therefore, the process and efforts of preservation are an interesting topic for the author to research about a program in schools, namely the Kamis Nyunda Program. The author is interested in how the implementation and implementation of the Kamis Nyunda program at SD Negeri Cijulang is an effort to preserve Sundanese culture in the school environment, as well as the implementation of Kamis Nyunda in the field. The method used by the researcher is ethnomethodology with a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out at Cijulang State Elementary School located in Kp. Parabon RT 032/RW 006 Desa-Berekah, Bojonggenteng District, Sukabumi Regency which used observation, interview and documentation techniques. The determination of the subject was carried out by random sampling technique consisting of the principal, 1 class teacher and 2 students of class V. The implementation of the Kamis Nyunda Program has a very good impact on cultural literacy in the school environment, especially at SD Negeri Cijulang.
