Abstract
Teacher professional allowances are allowances given to teachers who are certified educators. Ideally, this Professional Allowance is used to improve teacher performance and the rest to help with daily life. Responding to the circulation of news related to teacher certification which has no impact on performance, of course we respond with a critical and transformative attitude so that we can respond more intelligently to the news that has circulated. The view that must be formed is that certification cannot be equal, it does not have an impact on performance and there are still competent teachers. The principal at SDN Cisaat revealed that there are teachers who are competent and worthy of emulation and have good performance. The aim of this research is to find out the role of professional allowances on teacher performance.
This research method uses a qualitative approach and case study design. The informant for this research is an elementary school teacher at SDN Cisaat with the initials TRR, he is a teacher who has taken professional education as an in-service teacher and as a driving teacher. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, document study, documentation. The research results show that the role of professional allowances on teacher performance is as a form of motivation that can support careers and help personal life and is beneficial for a teacher, especially teachers who have been certified educators who must implement the four teacher competencies they have in the school environment so that they can progress. become a competent and professional teacher.
