PENERAPAN PRINSIP TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT (TQM) DENGAN PENDEKATAN METODE SEVEN TOOLS OF QUALITY PADA PRODUKSI AIR MINUM GALON DI CV. TIRTA ASTRO, BOGOR

This study aims to determine the application of Total Quality Management (TQM) principles with the Seven Tools of Quality method approach in analyzing the quality control of gallon drinking water products in the production department at CV. Tirta Astro, Bogor. This research is a qualitative type research. Primary data processed in this study are data from brainstorming conducted with CV employees. Tirta Astro, Bogor. Meanwhile, secondary data was obtained from data on total production results and total defects that occurred in the production process during January 2024 to May 2024 or for 5 months. This research was conducted using the Seven tools of Quality method approach. Based on data processing using seven tools, 4 types of product defects were obtained, namely reject seals, reject water, reject lids and reject gallons. The results showed that the percentage of three types of defect products such as reject seals, reject water and reject lids, are very dominating and have a very high percentage compared to reject gallons. Recommendations through managerial implications are given to implement each solution of the problems contained in the causal diagram (fishbone analysis) in order to reduce defective products that occur during the production process so as not to sustain and repeat in the future.
