Abstract

Tourism is one of the uses of natural resources that can have high economic value for a region that manages natural resources to become a tourist spot that can attract visitors, with the research object being Lake Cekdam. Apart from having high economic value and being able to absorb labor and encourage investment development, tourism development can foster and increase a sense of pride in the nation so that a society will grow that cares more about a nation.
However, development of tourist attraction areas has not been carried out in several tourist attraction areas. This research aims to identify development strategies and implementation of identified development strategies carried out by the author by focusing on the Pagelaran Village Government, Purabaya District, Sukabumi Regency which consists of several dimensions, namely Goals, Policies and Programs which will produce a strategy from several strategy definitions . This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The type of data consists of primary data obtained through interviews and observations. Meanwhile, secondary data comes from report documents, regulations relating to the problem to be studied, writings and research results regarding Tourism Attraction Development Strategies.
The results of this research indicate that the development strategy carried out by the Pagelaran Village Government is Strategy as a Plan. There are several identified development strategy implementations that are carried out, namely, (1) The development carried out must be focused on one point, (2) Involvement of all related elements, (3) Thoroughly identifying the object to be developed, (4) Carrying out training for tourist guides, tourism operators and tourism managers, (5) ongoing coordination with the government and residents around the tourist attraction area.
