PERANCANGAN FILM DOKUMENTER BATIK KIPAHARE SEBAGAI MEDIA PENGENALAN BATIK KHAS SUKABUMI

Kipahare Batik, adorned with the motif of pakujajar plants representing fern species, is recognized as a distinctive cultural heritage marked by the presence of the kipahare plants. These plants, identified as tetenger, signify something sacred or of great importance, particularly within the region of Central Pajajaran encompassing Sukabumi and Bogor. Despite its cultural significance, the awareness of Kipahare Batik among the citizens of Sukabumi remains notably low. Individuals interested in the historical background of this motif often encounter difficulties in accessing comprehensive and accurate information. This research selects the medium of a documentary film as an apt channel for conveying and disseminating information about the richness of Kipahare Batik to the community of Sukabumi. The documentary film titled "Telusur Jejak Batik Kipahare" is designed to integrate visual elements, cinematographic theory, and cultural insights. The qualitative research method emphasizes a thorough and detailed exploration of the research issue, requiring an intensive and personal approach by the author to the interviewees to obtain intricate and accurate information directly from the sources. Functioning as an introduction tool, this documentary film serves as a positive step towards promoting and preserving the uniqueness of Kipahare Batik. Furthermore, it contributes to broadening the community's perspective on cultural diversity in the city of Sukabumi.
