Abstract

Children's rights are part of human rights which must be guaranteed, protected and fulfilled by parents, families and society, and are the responsibility of the government and state. The interests of children as stated in Article 28 B paragraph
(2) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia which stipulates that every child has the right to survival, growth and development, and the right to protection from violence and discrimination. The formulation of the research problem is how to handle children in conflict with the law in the Sukabumi Regency DP3A as a child protection center in terms of Law No. 11 of 2012. The aim of this research is to determine the position of the DP3A and the process of handling children in conflict with the law in terms of SPPA Law. The research method used is an empirical approach and descriptive analysis presented in narrative form. The results of this research show that in its role DP3A is part of child protection in Sukabumi Regency in an effort to ensure the fulfillment of children's rights by considering the best interests of children. However, the implementation is not yet optimal, there are still obstacles faced, although there is a need for participation from other parties in realizing the desired child protection starting from the family and community environment.
