PENGARUH PROFITABILITAS, LIKUIDITAS, LEVERAGE, PERTUMBUHAN PENJUALAN DAN UKURAN PERUSAHAAN TERHADAP FINANCIAL DISTRESS (Perusahaan Sektor Hotel, Restoran dan Pariwisata Yang Terdaftar Di BEI Periode 2018-2022)

Companies are always established with the aim of generating profits originating from the company's business activities. The profits generated will be used to fulfill other activities carried out by the company so that the company will not experience financial difficulties or financial difficulties. Financial disruption can cause a company's financial performance to decline so that the company can experience financial distress and become a bad signal because investors will assume that the company's management is not running its operations well so that the company faces financial difficulties.

This research was conducted to examine the influence of Profitability, Liquidity, Leverage, Sales Growth, Company Size on Financial Distress. This research is quantitative research with secondary data in the form of company financial reports published in 2018-2022. The population used is 35 companies in the hotel, restaurant and tourism sectors registered on the IDX. The sample was selected using purposive sampling and 10 companies were obtained that met the criteria to become research samples. The methods used are descriptive statistics, panel data regression analysis, classical assumption testing and hypothesis testing.

The results of the study show that simultaneously the variables profitability, liquidity, leverage, sales growth, company size influence financial distress in hotel, restaurant and tourism sector companies listed on the IDX for the 2018-2022 period. Meanwhile, partially only profitability has an effect on financial distress in hotel, restaurant and tourism sector companies listed on the BEI for the 2018-2022 period, while liquidity, leverage, sales growth and company size have no effect on hotel, restaurant and tourism sector companies listed on the IDX period 2018-2022.
