Abstract
The activities of the pharmaceutical industry produce drugs that are very beneficial for human health, but as a result of producing these drugs will cause liquid waste that is harmful to the survival of living things. Therefore, it is necessary to treat the waste so that the environment is not polluted. This research is an experimental implementation of pharmaceutical industry waste treatment infrastructure desain. Industrial waste is treated through the engineering of the WWTP process flow and the addition of formulas, which are then accommodated in the pond. the results of pharmaceutical waste treatment are then laboratory tested to determine the quality of pharmaceutical industry wastewater. Specific liquid waste measurements of temperature, Total suspended solids, pH, COD and BOD, with liquid quality standards referring to the minister of environment regulation number 5 of 2014 concerning quality standards for liquid waste for pharmaceutical activities. The test results show that the pharmaceutical industry waste WWTP process flow engineering infrastructure resulting from this research experiment, is able to treat waste and achieve the pharmaceutical liquid waste quality standards specified in Indonesia. This pharmaceutical industry waste treatment infrastructure desain is expected to be implemented in pharmaceutical industries as a whole in the Indonesian region and internationally.
