Abstract
Flood is an event of flow or stagnation of water in an area that occurs due to the overflow of water from existing canals exceeding the capacity of water disposal caused by high rainfall and the topographical conditions of the area in the form of lowlands to concave, causing physical, social and economic losses. Based on the results of the analysis carried out at the type C terminal on the southern ring line, there are several areas affected by flooding, namely the type C terminal and its surroundings were flooded due to almost uniform heavy rains. This flood occurred apart from heavy rainfall and prolonged rain intensity. as well as a drainage system that doesn't function optimally so that flooding occurs, flooding in front of the type C terminal in Sukabumi city, often occurs, especially in every rainy season. Because the drainage canal or water channel in front of the terminal is suspected to be the cause of this regular flooding. Data collection methods in this study used two kinds of data, namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data are direct observations made in the field related to what triggers flooding at the type C terminal in Sukabumi city, observations made in the field are direct surveys to the terminal location to obtain data regarding the conditions of the flood location. Based on the results of observations, maximum daily rainfall data uses data from the rain measuring station Cimandiri Station with an observation period of rainfall data used for 11 (eleven) years from 2013 - 2022. Rain data for all these rain stations can be used to calculate the planned rainfall by Pearson Log frequency analysis method III. c) From the results of the calculation of the drainage channel, the results of the design of the drainage channel can be obtained with a channel width of 1 meter, a channel depth of 140 cm. Then the capacity of the drainage canal can accommodate the discharge of the channel. It is hoped that this research will immediately carry out repairs and maintenance of the drainage channel so that later in the rainy season it can function optimally.
