Abstract

Character education is an education system that aims to instill certain character values
in students in which there are components of knowledge, awareness or willingness and
action to carry out these values, in the implementation of character education it also
influences students' attitudes in the digital era. This character education is closely related
to students' attitudes, because the influence of the implementation of character education
on students' attitudes has a great influence on the formation of children's character. This
study aims to determine the implementation of character education through the main
values of character education, namely religiosity, nationalism, independence, mutual
cooperation, and integrity. This study was designed using a survey method through a
quantitative approach. The location where the research was conducted was SDN 1
Selaawi, the number of samples was determined using the Slovin formula so that the
samples that the researchers used in this study were from all classes that were used as
samples for a total of 80 students with certain characteristics, which were determined
using non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling technique. . This research is
important because all Indonesian children have the right to receive character education
in their lives. Researchers will collect data through observation, interviews, filling out
questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study is the
validity test. Reability, Classical Assumption Test, Normality Test, Multicollinearity Test,
Heteroscedasticity Test, Multiple Linear Regression Test, Hypothesis Test, T Test,
Coefficient of Determination Test (R2), and f test. The results obtained using this data
analysis technique can be concluded that the value of the religiosity character has a
positive and significant effect on the attitudes of students at SDN 1 Selaawi. The character
value of nationalism has no significant negative effect on the attitudes of students at SDN
1 Selaawi. The character value of independence has a significant positive effect on the
attitudes of students at SDN 1 Selaawi. The mutual cooperation character value has a
significant positive effect on the attitudes of students at SDN 1 Selaawi. Integrity
character value has no significant negative effect on students' attitudes at SDN 1 Selaawi.
