Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of the use of the
STAD type cooperative learning model in science subjects on the learning
outcomes of grade 5 students at SDN 1 Parungkuda. This study used a
quantitative approach. The type of research used in this study is Quasy
Experiment. This research design uses experimental research. The population in
this study was 493 students at SDN 1 Parungkuda. The sample in this study was
grade 5 students at SDN 1 Parungkuda. Class 5B as an experimental class has 37
students, and class 5A as a control class with a total of 37 students. Data
collection techniques in this study through observation, interviews, documentation,
and tests. Test the hypothesis in this study using nonparametric tests (Mann
Whitney).
Based on the results of the Mann Whitney test analysis using SPSS version
29.0 for Windows, Sig. (2-tailed) values of 0.001 < 0.05 were obtained. Referring
to the basis of decision making, it can be concluded that there is a difference
between the two groups or thus H1 is accepted, which means that there is an
influence on the use of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the learning
outcomes of grade 5 students in science subjects at SDN 1 Parungkuda. The
results of the post-test obtained the average post-test score of the experimental
class of 84.59 and the control class of 70.67. This value exceeds the
predetermined KKM of 75.
