Abstract

The position of the family area and the community is crucial for children’s development
attitudes. Therefore, it is very important for positive education from the environment
so the capability of children to learn and behave positively. Empowerment of local
residents (families, community leaders and the local community) in educating children
with rude attitudes is very important, so that people are expected to have the skills to
become positive figures or models for positive education. The purpose of this study was
to determine the type of parenting style applied by parents to aggressive children and
to determine the role of parents in dealing with aggressive children. This research
focuses on parenting styles consisting of authoritarian, democratic and permissive
parenting styles. This study aims to determine the role of parents in dealing with
aggressive children at SDN Sawahlega Cisaat. The method used in this research is
descriptive qualitative research with purposive sampling technique. The population of
this study is class 4 and the subject is 3 students. Data collection used through
observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques, namely data
reduction, data presentation and conclusions as well as the research instrument used
content validity techniques which were tested for validity. The expected results in this
study are parenting styles that are appropriate for dealing with aggressive children.
