Abstract

Every student has motivation, motivation is a necessary psychological component
to spark their interest in active learning. Student problems at school are often
unavoidable even with very good teaching. Given the many causes of student
problems are found outside of school. Students lack initiative, avoid challenging
activities, have low expectations, find it difficult to keep promises, and are too
selfish. In order to help students choose and develop themselves as best as possible
in accordance with their responsibilities as God's creation, personal guidance is
an alternative service available through the provision of guidance and counseling
services for students. As well as given specifically to deal with personal problems
experienced by Shiva. The purpose of this study was to identify the role of the
classroom teacher in increasing learning motivation by providing personal
guidance to elementary school students who experience difficulties in learning
motivation. at Public Elementary School 09 Cibadak. A qualitative descriptive
research strategy and sampling in the form of a purposive sampling technique were
used in this study. The research population is class III students and the sample is 3
students. Data will be collected by researchers through observation, interviews,
and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data
presentation, and verification of findings as well as research tools that use content
validity that has been tested for validity. The results of this study are the stages of
teacher involvement in providing guidance and counseling in elementary schools:
preparation, implementation and evaluation. Student personal guidance services
are one of the guidance and counseling services that will be carried out at the
implementation stage.
