Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of project-based learning models on students'
creative thinking abilities in science learning in grade IV. This research is a study that
uses a quantitative approach with the Quasy Experiment or quasi-experimental method.
The research design uses the Nonequivalent Control Group research design. The
population in this study were fourth grade students at SD Gugus 2 Cicantayan as many
as 6 elementary schools. The sample used in this study were fourth grade students at
SDN Karadenan as the experimental class and SDN Paledang as the control class using
a purposive sampling technique or a sample selection technique not randomly, but with
certain considerations. The research was conducted in 5 meetings in the experimental
class and 5 meetings in the control class. The instrument used in this study was a test
(pre-test and post-test) consisting of 5 pre-test questions and 5 post-test questions. The
analysis of this study uses the Independent sample t test. Based on the output of
Independent sample t test data using SPSS 26, it is known that the sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000
< 0.05 which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a
significant influence of the project-based learning model on students' creative thinking
skills in science learning in class IV with the average score of the experimental class
being 73.96 and the average value of the control class being 57.07.
