Abstract

This Trainer Kit is designed with the aim of providing a comprehensive understanding of the use of microcontrollers in controlling pneumatic systems efficiently. The kit frame is designed to provide a robust and functional mechanical structure. While the microcontroller is used as the brain of the system that controls various pneumatic components. The design method involves component selection, frame design,
microcontroller hardware settings. As well as the development of software programs to control the system. Static simulation of the kit trainer frame using Autodesk Inventor 2022 software. With a load on the upper frame of 2.885 Kg, a load on the lower frame of 2.315 Kg and using mild steel material, Aluminum has very safe von mises, displacement, safety factor values. So that it can support the load during use. The results of the von misses stress
simulation analysis on the upper frame show that the stress is spread throughout the surface of the frame. Based on the simulation results using aluminum 6061 material, the
maximum von misses stress value is 0.6659 MPa and the minimum is 0.0000117 MPa. The maximum displacement summation that occurs on the top frame with aluminum 6061
material is 0.0028618 mm and a minimum of 0.00 mm. Displacement at this value is relatively small. For a safety factor value of 15 ul on the load side which uses aluminum
6061 material and the middle load which uses mild steel material. So that the design and construction of the upper frame can be declared safe. For the results of the NDT test for loading the entire frame, it turned out that there was no change in size. This means that the kit trainer frame is successful/able to withstand the loading that occurs according to the simulation data which has a safety factor of more than 15 ul. So from looking at the
results of the NDT simulation and testing, we get good values, thus the kit trainer frame is declared strong and safe.
