Abstract
This study discusses the suspension on motorcycles by changing the standard suspension system, namely spring suspension / Coil Spring by designing an air suspension system to be applied to Honda Vario 110 motorcycles. There are several problems with the spring type motorcycle suspension, namely when adjusting the suspension and its comfort level. The purpose of this study is to know the construction design, design and find out the ratio of damping values in the air suspension and coil
spring systems that were applied to the initial design of the motorcycle. The design and simulation method was carried out using Autodesk Inventor 2020 Software. In this
design process there were additions to the construction, namely a stand for the suspension as a support for the air suspension and changes to the size of the engine
mounting which was extended to increase the air suspension storage space. The results of the Autodesk Inventor 2020 Simulation, Air Suspension which has a rubber material
and is given a load of 300 kg to get a damping value of 7,744 N/m which is greater than the initial suspension which has a steel wire spring material (SW) with a value of 7,500
N/m.
