Abstract
Tires are the main function of a vehicle to support the vehicle's strength. Damage to tires that often occurs is punctured and broken. One way to fix it is to patch the
inner tube. The aim of this research is to determine the strength of the inner tube from the results of heating with variations in time. The sample making method used
is pressing. Samples were tested using adhesive testing, macro testing, FTIR testing and thickness testing. The research results from the 5 minute adhesive strength test
were 1.11 kN/m, 10 minutes were 1.80 kN/m and 15 minutes were 2.00 kN/m. The results of macro digital testing research show that from a time variation of 5 minutes there are still holes, while 10 and 15 minutes show the desired stickiness. The results of FTIR testing are natural rubber. The results of the thickness test are that the longer the heating takes, the thinner the inner tire becomes. Based on the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the results of a good press or patch that is strong and blends with the original inner tube is 15 minutes,
with a test result of adhesive strength of 2.00 kN/m.
