Abstract
Solar panels are a tool that can produce renewable electrical energy, its use is increasingly being carried out by the community, but there are drawbacks to these solar panels, namely the resulting power output is unstable because it is influenced by several reasons, one of which is if the angle of incidence of sunlight is not upright straight line can result in power output that is not optimal. The purpose of this research is to be able to maximize the power output by creating a solar tracker design so that the solar panel can move, so that the angle of incidence of sunlight can always be perpendicular to the solar panel. The first test was carried out using a static solar panel, namely by testing it for 10 hours produces a power output of 363.6 watts, then testing solar panels with a solar tracker is tested at the same time producing a power of 580.5 watts. Then the use of a solar tracker can
increase the power output by 58.9%
