Abstract

ABSTRACT
When building a building or a building there is a concrete
component, in this concrete there is an iron intended to
strengthen the concrete, while the iron has a standardization
that has been determined by the National Standardization
Agency (BSN), in general most people are able to make
concrete although they do not understand concrete
knowledge, utilities and technology and in the end the quality
of concrete can be very poor in a certain period of time. This
concrete iron can be detected with a metal detector. In this
study, metal detectors are made using Beat Frequency
Oscillator (BFO), which in principle utilizes frequency
changes to detect the presence of metals. Arduino Uno
microcontroller is used in a metal detector circuit as a
frequency counter. The metal detector is then applied as a
stepper motor sensor. This stepper motor is a sensor drive
media so that it can read where the location of the concrete
steel is, this tool is equipped with an LCD display to see the
signal that is read then calculated according to the signal
length. The purpose of this study is to make an analysis of a
concrete construction so that unwanted bad things happen to
a building or a building
