Abstract

The development of an automatic watering device developed from the Reni 2019 TE research of Nusa Putra University by adding a soil moisture sensor, a water level sensor, a Dc 12V motor pump which previously used a Node MCU
component, a stepper motor, ULN2003, L298N, an IoT-based 12 V Dc pump motor. This development aims to determine the working principle of soil moisture sensors and automatic systems. Node Mcu and Blynk applications have been used
for automatic watering. This tool is also an improvement from previous research because there are several damaged components, namely L298N and ULN2003 as a voltage
enhancer. The way this forecasting tool works is based on soil moisture detected by the soil moisture sensor and a notification appears on the Blynk application, where if the sensor measures the soil moisture above 320, a notification will appear on Blynk and the watering will work, if the humidity is below 320 then notification and the system will not appear. not working. And for water level it
works as a water level detector in the reservoir if the water is below 1 cm the Dc 2 pump motor will turn on (On) and if it is above 1 cm the pump motor does not turn on (Off). In this study, the Blynk application also did not use the previous
research because there were additional sensors and the way it worked was different.
